Question: What can I expect to get from this weekly clinic manual?

Answer: This will be a complete, Level 1 Soccer F.I.T. Speed Program, taken directly from one of the Soccer F.I.T. Academy Camps in Overland Park, Kansas. You will get an inside look at our speed/agility progressions, strength/plyometric protocols, conditioning periodization and our F.I.T. or Functionally Integrated Training drills which are designed to bridge the gap between technical ball skills and reactive agility in a situational setting on the field. The week will be broken into 3 training days and a 4th day, which combines aspect of each day into a F.I.T. session. You will also receive an additional bonus conditioning section, highlighting our fitness testing, progressions and research. This program will be available instantly for your to download in a PDF format, complete with video links to exercises, diagrams of the drills below, as well as background information for each progression. Here is the table of contents:

Day 1: Quickness and Balanced Positioning

  • Level 1 Plyometrics
  • Quick Feet and Simple Rhythmic Agility Movements
  • Balanced Strength
  • Rhythmic Ball Drills

Day 2: Agility and Soccer Specific Movement Patterns

  • Level 2 Plyometrics

Day 3: Separation Speed, Anticipation and Reaction

Each of the days will include a daily training plan that will progress the player through the curriculum along with several background educational topics from each of the each area. The video and written descriptions are designed to fully explain how we build our training sessions, how to coach or cue a technique within a drill and how to progress or digress portions of the workout. The video clips are short, but complete, and are shot from a coach’s perspective so that you see what the coach sees, and utilizes voice over commentary so you hear what the coach is thinking.

The daily training plan can be used as a weekly workout for you to implement during the season, or used as a way for you to run a similar clinic of your own.
